This year, I celebrated Canada Day with the Queen… of Vegas, Britney Spears.

My friend and fellow YouTuber Adam (based out of the UK) was in town for a week after VidCon looking for some fun, and what could be more fun – and quintessentially American – than Vegas?
We booked a room at The LINQ Hotel Las Vegas which is at the northern end of the strip, next to Harrah’s, The Venetian, and The Palazzo hotels. It’s also just a 15 minute walk from Planet Hollywood, where Britney was set to perform.
The LINQ describes its vibe as “college-style fun for adults of all ages, value oriented with a modern outlook, in the middle of everything” which suited us quite well.
On site you’ll find a pool, gym, and drag revue, and like many of the hotels in Vegas, it has its own casinos and restaurants, one of which is owned by Guy Fieri. It’s also attached to the LINQ Promenade, which offers a whole other selection of restaurants, shops, and attractions – like the High Roller (or as Adam called it, the London Eye).
I liked that the LINQ offered a little bit of everything without being overwhelming. It didn’t have that “old Vegas” feel to it, and it’s centrally located if you decide to get out any explore – though you could probably spend the entire weekend in and around the hotel.
The Britney Spears Piece of Me show itself was fantastic, and I’d recommend it to everyone visiting Vegas – even if you’re not a hardcore fan! In addition to the music, there were lights, lasers, props, and some very impressive choreography. We were right up in the pit but it’s a pretty intimate venue to begin with, and I doubt that there would be a bad seat in the house.
Our trip was short but that just means we’ve got more to look forward to when we return. To see what we got up to, watch the video above. And for more information about all that Las Vegas has to offer, visit Lasvegas.com
Disclosure: Although The LINQ Hotel Las Vegas did offer us a discounted media rate for our stay, we paid for all experiences.
